We provided Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical Engineering services for the 7,340 SF tenant improvement of an existing funeral home, transforming it into a multi-purpose building. The scope of work included a 2,300 SF addition to the east side of the building, a 1,015 SF outdoor patio, and a new kitchen. Key considerations for the project involved maintaining the existing SES location with the installation of up to three electric house panels and updating plumbing and mechanical systems. Notably, all interior plumbing was abandoned, and all interior mechanical units and exterior AC units were removed. The sewer line runs from the northeast corner of the building to the alley, while the existing gas line runs through the alley on the east side. Our design also took into account the need for an updated site plan, pending approval of the preliminary space plan.
